Opened in 1987, the Star of Siam is a unique Thai restaurant that has earned a loyal following and a reputation for the finest Thai food in the Long Beach area. Chef Thaworn Nuklib-Anderson is truly in a class of her own. She and her accomplished kitchen staff consistently produce amazing cuisine that is authentic yet approachable. The depth and breadth of the menu is noteworthy, with fresh, bold, exhilarating nuances from every region of Thailand faithfully rendered. Classic dishes from the Central region are complemented with specialties from the tropical South and Issan delights from the Northeast.

The restaurant was designed and built by Thaworn and Robert. Delicate hand made silk, traditional mountain tribe textiles, antique kalagas, Thai paintings in in a number of styles, and a intricate, hand carved teak bias-relief of the Ramakien grace the walls. The food is staged on beautiful Italian granite tables in subtle pinks and grays. The open air patio features a Thai angel, cast in bronze, with tropical plants and blue California skies. Service is always helpful and pleasant, the hallmark of Thai hospitality.

Star of Siam is located at 2109 E. Broadway, Long Beach, California, 90803 Where it was moved from a smaller location on Anaheim Street. A short walk from the beach and the Long Beach Museum of Art, it is at the heart of the eclectic Broadway - Bluff Park neighborhood, between Belmont Shore and Downtown Long Beach and Pine Avenue (and just south of the interesting Art/Retro 4th Street area) . The new Aquarium of the Pacific is a very short drive away, as are the historic Queen Mary and the fine hotels on the Long Beach waterfront. We are freeway close to Orange County, Santa Monica and Los Angeles.
